6/13/08 Our Spotlight shines on the Cheer Fusion Submitted by Leanne Whelan, Dublin, Ireland |
|
Hi there, We are the First Competitive Cheerleading Squad in the Republic of ( Southern ) Ireland! The Academy was set up just a little over a year ago and we have pee wee, junior and senior squads. We are hoping to compete in our first competition in England this year. Our youngest member is 6 and our oldest is 23. Our strengths are our jumps and we are really working hard on our jumps. We are moving to a new gym at the end of the month and this will really help our technique! We love the sport and our coach is trying to make Cheerleading more widely recognised around Ireland and we have already appeared on tv and in the newspapers! We are ready to fight and excited for things to come!

Hey Y'all! I haven't been here to update y'all in a while. I'm sorry. Well, Our
squad has made
soooo much progress! We're proud of ourselves and each other! We finally got our
basket-tosses in
perfect form! (Snaps for TIffany-our flyer and Bekah-the first time bast-toss flyer-who
did an
awesome job by the way!) I honestly can't believe how far our squad has come.
It's so hard to believe that we came from people making fun of the cheerleaders and hating
us,
to actually participating in our crowd cheers, chants, and loving us and respecting us for
what we do.
Our stunts are loking great, our cheers are polished and (for those of you who think we
wont place)
we're ready to go to nationals and take 1st place. We believe in ourselves and know that
we're good
enough to take on other squads who have been stunting and going to these competitions for
years.
We'll all be proud if we just simply place. That would make all of our hard work worth
while.
I'm proud of all of ya'll! Thanks again Mrs. Horne for taking us and bringing us closer to
you, each other, and God.
I know everyone appreciates what you do! Thanks girls! Love Always, Erica P.S. If you can't cheer with us, (hey hey) Then you can't cheer at all, all, all! Go Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders!!!!! |

11/3/04 Our Spotlight shines on the NCWHS Cheer Squad Submitted by Kayla Jo, Bloomington, IL |
| Our squad has only ten girls. One, who went to camp with us, and went through all summer and football season, is a basketball player and can no longer cheer. We have "replaced" her with Brenda, who is great and working really hard to fill Kristina's (the b-ball player)shoes. The nine of us who are still here from summer are working super hard. We are only a freshman squad and working hard to compete with the JV and Varsity. JV has 12 girls, and Varsity has 14-16 people to begin with. They both recently just got about 5 more guys each. We have no males, and only 10 girls. We are working on baskets. And got a perfect toe basket in three tries. We also have two strong libs/arabesque/pretty ladies. We will start working on basket reloads soon. We are trying super hard to keep up with the other two higher squads. Personally, I think we are doing a great job. We don't get as much support from parents/students as the other squads, but the students are coming around! |

These girls have cheered together since junior high. they are an awesome group
of cheerleaders. They flip, they dance and they cheer the crowd on. Our opponents are left
in awe when they perform.
They are a group of high spirited young ladies and most are graduating with the class of 2005. They would be an asset to any colleges squad, where ever they go! ![]() ![]()
